Rittiyawannalai School is a secondary school with a total of 7,000 students aged 12-18 located in Sai Mai District, Bangkok under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in the Ministry of Education. Like the majority of public schools in Thailand, most of the teachers’ activity is paper-based. There is some use of technology by students who visit traditional computer labs and occasionally use smartphones in class for specific tasks.
Rittiyawannalai School wanted to see if it could deploy a more comprehensive approach to technology in the classroom, thereby fostering 21st Century skills amongst its students such as collaboration and creativity. It was also important to do this in away that saved time for teachers and boosted their productivity.
